upcoming AOL exclusive acoustic performance yesterday.

I was watching MTV cribs tonight (9:30pm-ish) and it was the episode with Melissa Joan Hart (star of Sabrina the Teenage Witch) and when she went in to one of her rooms 'Slide' began to play. Which was pretty cool.
The Goo Goo Dolls performed at Rock the Vote 2 nights ago where they played upcoming single 'Here Is Gone' for the first time,
"I guess it's like an awareness thing, you know? Since the 11th of September and the bizarre circumstances of the last presidential election, it's like it's more important now to get involved in the process than ever before."
The Goo Goo Dolls are recording a
special acoustic broadcast to be aired Exclusively on AOL.
The show will include an:
"acoustic performance of Here Is Gone as well as some other favorites of ours. . . . . . . . .and some GUTTERFLOWER debuts before the CDs street date"

The author of the hoax lyrics to Big Machine has asked me to post his apologies to everyone on the matter of the 'Big Machine' lyrics he posted.
After posting a vicious message in the 'Message Forum' (see below) and several emails later he has apologised to all those concerned
"hahah
suck shit about the googoodolls lyrics, it is so funny i only did
it as a jokei thout no one would believe me just goes to show how dum
most googoodolls fans are!!!
oh and webmaster faggat, ure site is pretty ordinary...
and MetallicA are the best band in the world, they far exceed the TALENT,
FEROCITY, and ability to play LIVE than the ordinary googoodolls....dont
critisice metallica they are the best... the goos have sold about
7 million....and justice for all by metallica sold that alone hahahha,
hell black sold 16 million copies!!!! they have totals of over 60 million albums
sold hahah there IS NO comparing the goos and a band of such
legendary status such as MetallicA, theyre good but NOWHERE NEAR
good enough!!!!
METALLICA FOREVER"
Here is his apology on the matter:
"sorry to all the goo fans who got excited i thout no one would believe me!!!!!!"
The honoree fourth Goo Goo Doll
Nathan December appeared on the 'Weakest Link' today.
An American episode and the second time Nathan has appeared on the show. When
questioned on the kind of music he played he replied "Rock,
Modern Rock, Alternative". Nathan wearing a Blue suit was voted off
in the fifth round.
The lyrics to 'Big Machine' from
forthcoming album 'Gutterflower' that have been floating around cyberspace have
turned out to be complete crap.
The lyrics were thought up by a member on the Goo mailing list, these
lyrics where a montage of Metallica "lyrics" and his own ramblings and
we all know how much Metallica SUCK, LONG LIVE NAPSTER,
KAZAA, MORPHEOUS
and any other file transfer programs (even though it's beyond me why anyone
would want to trade such shit songs anyway).
We're pleased these lyrics turned out to be fake as let's face it they were shit anyway.
The GGD's have provided us with a couple of pics from the 'Here Is Gone' video shoot click your way over to the 'Gutterflower' section to take a look.
The Goo Goo Dolls are beginning filming on the 'Here is Gone' video today expect to see that one on your screens sometime in March 2002

Saturday 23 February 2002 @ 12:05am - 1:35am
According to MusicStation - Rock on TV the episode is 02/22/2002 (which I take as 22nd February 2002). It is not clear whether it is a repeat of the 'Two Days In February' performance or a new episode, but is most likely a repeat.
I've acquired over 20 pics from the Phoenix show. I'll be posting them within the next few days stayed tuned.
The Goo Goo Dolls have confirmed a concept for the first video, for the first single, from the new album. What single is it....... 'Here Is Gone'

The Goo Goo Dolls have reportedly changed their European distributor from EDEL to WEA. This is good news which will bring an end to the fiasco of Single and Album releases that EDEL only did when they could be bothered.
Rumours are circulating that 'Gutterflower' will be released in Germany (maybe throughout Europe) on Monday 8th April 2002. This would pen the release a day before it is released in America.

The new Goo Goo Dolls album 'Gutterflower' will be released in America on 9th April 2002. No worldwide dates have been issued yet.
Europe should not expected 'Gutterflower' to be available around the 9th April due to the fact that the European distributor 'EDEL' absolutely positively suck.

The Goo's have finished filming for
the Chris Isaak Show.
The Show will screen in February (US)
Here's a couple of Pics

The Goo's were filming day 1 of their appearance on the Chris Isaak Show and they felt kind enough to give us the following news...
Today they shot their "Story
Segment" and tomorrow they will be filming the Musical bit. The Musical bit
will consist of them performing a song from forthcoming (*Excitement*) album 'Gutterflower'
if you're not up to scratch on that go here.
Remember the show wont air till February and by then we'll all (hopefully) have
they album.. So expect the guy's to be performing whichever track they release
as a single, I'm thinking the first single and the song they will perform will
be 'Here is Gone'.. I could be wrong the Goo's have said the track they will be
performing is "one of Chris's' favorites" (Obviously he's one of the
very lucky few to have heard the new material) but we'll find out shortly.
The Goo Goo Dolls will also be recording a performance of "an old favorite" to be shown on a later date.
Just thought I'd let anyone who doesn't know that the Home for the Holidays extravaganza has sold out! Ticket stalls were empty within half-an-hour... less then 26 mins to be more exact.... wow! Good goin'.
My apologies to anyone that had trouble trying to download from Goo-Tasia since the files went up.. I received the following email today regarding those files....

| Dear
GeoCities Member, Congratulations, http://www.geocities.com/ukgoogoodolls seems to be very popular and has been receiving a large amount of traffic. Our records indicate that you're using more than the allotted amount of data transfer we provide for a free web site, which is 3 gigabytes per month (measured on an hourly basis). That means that during the past few days we had to temporarily turn your site off to keep the bandwidth within this limit. What can I do? Keep in mind that large files such as images and multimedia files can effect your data transfer greatly. A single web page that contains 200,000 bytes of images will only be able to be viewed about 20-25 times an hour. By keeping your file sizes and page sizes as small as possible, you can maximize the amount of page views your site can produce. You can also upgrade your site to one of our new premium services, GeoCities Pro or GeoCities Webmaster. These packages allow for 10 and 20 gigabytes of data transfer per month, and also give you the option of purchasing unlimited data transfer so your site will always be accessible. These packages also enable you to run an ad-free site at your own domain name (for example, www.ukgoogoodolls.com) AND get matching email accounts at that domain (like you@ukgoogoodolls.com). For more information about our new packages, please visit http://geocities.yahoo.com/ps/info3 Upgrading your current GeoCities site to one of our new premium packages is simple. You don't have to move ANY of your files, and your current GeoCities web address will continue to work in addition to your domain. If you'd prefer not to receive this notice in the future, just go to http://geocities.yahoo.com/opt/bwemail to take your name off of the notify list. Of course, our servers will continue to monitor your site's data usage and turn it off if it exceeds the limits. Thank you, Yahoo! GeoCities |
Once again I'd like to apologies and thank everyone who downloaded from Goo-Tasia and contributed to the system crashing. Thanks.
I'd just like to remind everyone that Goo-Tasia is now running a message forum (look in the menu bar) and if anyone would like to discuss something or leave a message for other users then feel free thats what its there for..
Right now Jamie (rzeznik_girl@Hotmail.com) is looking for any Goo Fans interested in having an Australian pen-pal. Check out her message in the forum.
See just coz it's UK Goo doesn't mean we don't welcome other countries.
I've finally sorted out my server problems and the downloads are now.... Downloadable... Click the downloads link on the menu bar to get cracking.
Goo-Tasia has won it's first award! Given to me by the kind folks at googoodolls.dot.nu

Goo Radio / WNY Food Bank Update
Last night.... Well really this morning Johnny and Robby were on Buffalo's 'The Edge 103.3'. After Showing up/Getting in touch 30 mins late, they were mixing a song for the album (apparently the song was one of Robby's and has no name at this moment) the Goo's released details about the upcoming event, mostly information that was released through the DailyGoo but, they talked about how they don't have any "Rock star friends" but had lots of "Rodee friends" (is that the right spelling?) through these friends they have acquired various things for the raffle including 'Britney Spears signed Shoes' which apparently smell like feet! The Guys then joked about shoe fetishist's winning the shoes and "God knows what's going to happen to that poor girls shoes"
The Guy's will also be performing "New Material" and "Those Loveable Hippy's From Mo's will be performing a few songs".

Format: Three Track CD ('Name'/'Eyes Wide Open'/'Stop The World')
Before MTV sucked out their soul, Goo Goo Dolls were actually a cool Punk Rock Band. One of the stand out tracks on the band's 1995 album 'A Boy Named Goo', the replacements' style jangle of 'Name' is a fine taster for the band's forthcoming compilation 'Ego, Opinion, Art & Commerce', evan if it does make you wonder where the fuck it all went wrong for Mr Rzeznik and Co.
